Singer and TV presenter Charlotte Church is pregnant, she confirmed today on her website. The 21-year-old said she and her rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson were "delighted". The Voice of an Angel, who found fame as a child star, is currently hosting her own chat show on Channel 4.

"For reasons of privacy, Charlotte has chosen not to comment on this matter, other than to confirm that she and her boyfriend, Gavin Henson, are delighted. "In an ideal world, we would not have made this announcement so early in the pregnancy. "However, due to recent speculation and persistent questions from the media about this most private of matters, Charlotte felt she had no choice other than to go public and she was keen to ensure that her fans had the opportunity to read the truth here first." She recently said she wanted to marry Henson, saying: "If Gavin got me an engagement ring, I would definitely say 'yes'. "Gav is the one, he is my fella and I want to have his children. "I know we've only been together for two years but we've lived together for a year-and-a-half. "We've both got fantastic careers and the bottom line is we love being in each other's company."
